Roof leak? Roof leak repair and temporary tarping

What homeowners are saying.

“I had my roof installed by Texas Contractors, Inc in March of 2021. 5 years later and I don't have a single complaint. I haven't had a need to replace a single shingle or had any leaks. Now, we haven't had a direct hit but since then we were affected by Hurricanes Nicholas and Baryl. We've also been affected by Tropical Storms Harold and Alberto. Not a single problem. Thank you Texas Contractors for the phenomenal job and relief you provided when I needed it. I 100% recommend this company for your roofing needs. Oh, and to let everyone know, I had Owens Corning Duration, Onyx Black Shingles installed. The price was a little elevated at the time due to COVID-19 inflation but the work was worth every penny. Peace of mind makes it worth it.”

“We are very pleased with the outcome of our roof. TCI worked in a timely fashion and left the area clean. Enjoyed the aerial progress videos.”
Raquel Cavazos, Edinburg, TexasGoogle Review
“Texas Contractors did an excellent job when they repaired my roof. The color of the shingles that they used looks beautiful. They came in and did the job and made sure that I was satisfied with the work. They even took a video of the before and after of my roof. Thank you all for the exceptional work that you did.”

Certified Installer

CertainTeed ShingleMaster™

Not every roofer can install to a manufacturer's standard. The ShingleMaster credential is CertainTeed's mark for contractors who do, which means your roof is put on the way the manufacturer intends, and it can qualify your home for stronger, extended manufacturer warranty coverage. For you, that's a roof done to spec and backed the right way.

Roofing warranties

Two separate warranties. Clear responsibilities.

Your roof has two kinds of protection. Our workmanship warranty covers qualifying installation errors in our work. The manufacturer's limited warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects in the roofing materials.

Our workmanship warranty

Texas Contractors, Inc. provides a written workmanship warranty. It covers labor related installation issues in our work at no cost, under the written terms, and you get the full terms in writing before you approve the job. Storm damage, normal wear, neglect, and work changed by another contractor are not covered by the workmanship warranty.

CertainTeed manufacturer protection

CertainTeed roofing materials carry a manufacturer's limited warranty, and the coverage depends on the shingles, the property, and CertainTeed's terms. As a CertainTeed ShingleMaster Certified Installer, we include a CertainTeed SureStart PLUS 3 Star warranty at no extra charge on qualifying roof replacements that use a complete CertainTeed roof system, and we register it for you. For covered manufacturing defects, 3 Star includes materials, labor, tear off, and disposal, non prorated for up to 50 years on qualifying single family homes, with shorter periods for other property types. Not every roof or product qualifies, some CertainTeed products such as XT 25 carry shorter terms, and restrictions apply.

SureStart PLUS 3 Star does not cover installation mistakes. That is what our workmanship warranty is for.

CertainTeed's warranty information

No deposit. You pay when the job is done.

Plenty of contractors want a deposit before the first shingle goes on. We don't. The job gets done first, and you pay when it's finished.

Roofing warranty questions

What does your workmanship warranty cover?

It covers labor related installation issues in our work at no cost. You get the full terms in writing before you approve the job, and Henry or Jacob will go over them with you.

What is the difference between workmanship and manufacturer coverage?

Workmanship coverage is ours, and it covers installation issues in our work. Manufacturer coverage is CertainTeed's, and it covers manufacturing defects in the roofing materials. They are separate warranties with different terms.

Does SureStart PLUS 3 Star cover installation mistakes?

No. SureStart PLUS 3 Star covers qualifying manufacturing defects, including the covered labor needed to repair or replace defective shingles. It does not cover installation mistakes. Our separate workmanship warranty covers qualifying installation errors in our work, subject to its written terms.

Why does the manufacturer warranty include labor?

If a shingle has a covered manufacturing defect, the labor coverage pays toward repairing or replacing the defective materials under CertainTeed's terms. That is different from coverage for an installation mistake.

Does every CertainTeed roof include SureStart PLUS 3 Star?

No. We include it at no extra charge on qualifying roof replacements that use a complete CertainTeed roof system, and we register it for you. Not every roof or product qualifies, and CertainTeed's restrictions apply.

Does a long manufacturer warranty mean my roof will last that long?

No. A warranty covers specific problems under its terms. Its length is not a promise of how long the roof will last.

Where can I review my coverage?

You get our workmanship warranty terms, and the manufacturer coverage that comes with your roof, in writing before you approve the job. Ask us about anything that isn't clear.

Can the manufacturer warranty transfer if I sell my home?

Some CertainTeed coverage can transfer to a new owner, with deadlines and conditions set by CertainTeed. Check the warranty registered for your roof before you count on it transferring.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer financing?

Yes. We offer financing through third party lenders, HFS Financial and Synchrony. Checking if you prequalify is free, takes a couple of minutes, and uses a soft credit check, so it does not affect your credit score. Financing is subject to credit approval. The lender decides approval, rates, and terms based on your credit and other factors, and we do not set or guarantee them. Cash or financed, no deposit is needed, and you pay nothing until the job is done and you are satisfied.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. We accept all major credit cards. A flat 1.75% card fee is added to credit card payments to cover processing costs. There is no fee for cash, check, or debit card. Card payments are made when the job is done, and no deposit is needed.
